Featured ProjectThe Roladex Series:
Walking through the narrow stuffed shelves of an antique store, half junk - half treasure, I find this 1940/50s era steel Roladex. Not the small ones we used to have on our desks. This one is huge, and inside are hundreds of tea-stained looking cards - mostly empty.
I begin to imagine the life of the owner of this instrument designed to sustain memory. And so, day by day I remove the cards and create art testament to the idea of memory. |

Messages.
I walk. By myself when possible, without noise or disruption. I use these times to notice what I am experiencing and from these wanderings, a lexicon of meaning emerges. These collage/ mixed media paintings are from a solo journey hiking in the Grand Canyon. |
