Kerrie Bellisario"If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, will answer you:
I am here to live out loud.” – Émile Zola I am an artist and a teacher. As a teacher I strive to inspire my students to find their unique voice and sense of expression, to stay curious and inquisitive as they journey on their way to careers and college, in the arts and beyond. As an artist, I hold myself to these same principles. My art is part archaeology, part sociology and entirely the result of insatiable curiosity. My work is an investigation into the mystery and ephemerality of our lives. Projects investigate visual memory recall, contextualized through the familiar and unknown of what is real and imagined, truth or intentional ambiguity. While my series mines my own narratives, the work stands as a mirror for others to reflect on the space of memory in their ow lives. |
